Halloween always brings out the spirit in people. Whether you’re a little kid dreaming of all the candy you’re hoping to acquire trick-or-treating or an adult working behind a cash register, getting dressed up and having fun is all part of this annual festival.
Revelstokians are no slouches at this. As you can expect there are parties on all around town tonight and some of the people who will doubtless be going to them got all dressed up for the day. Here are photos from a few of the shops, bars, cafes and other venues around town:

Halloween is an easy celebration to love because it offers everyone — even librarians like Susan Knight (left) and Joan Holzer — a wonderful opportunity to get dressed up. David F. Rooney photo

Christi Dale liked the cowgirl look as she rode herd on the smoothies, coffees and juices on offer at Jus Juiced. David F. Rooney photo

Oh, those girls at the Modern Bakery! Krista Cadieux, Mindy Skiner, Patience Gribble and Jennifer Walker served up some frighteningly good lattes at the Modern. David F. Rooney photo

And, of course, what would Halloween be without really excellent treats like the ones Josee Zimanyi has on offer on Halloween? David F. Rooney photo

Revelstoke Florists is Costume Central every Halloween and this year its staff, Deanna Ward, Angela Black and Kristin Ward were suitably dressed for the occasion. David F. Rooney photo

A block over at the Grizzly Pub cowgirls Julie Gamache and Meghan Jenny got the drop on that ever-so-tempting devil, Delaney Bos. David F. Rooney photo

Andrew Moore at Pharmasave had just what it takes to be a serial killer. David F. Rooney photo

Meanwhile, in the pharmacy Lindy Silano and Hans Mohr had some kind of 1960s-love-in-cum-mad-scientist thing going. Love that hair, Hans! David F. Rooney photo

And at the front counter always wholesome Krstin Larson, Kaylin Sutherland and Avril Berger were dressed to charm their customers. David F. Rooney photo

At People's Drug Mart Alex Tompkins kept it simple with a red clown nose. David F. Rooney photo

Cooper's Foods always has a tradition of dressing up and this year so did the odd customer, like young mom Judy and her 13-month-old lion, Eli. David F. Rooney photo

That naughty nurse, Carol Perkins, again, with Cindy Simpson, AKA Victoria's Secret's Heidi Klum, made an eye-popping pair at Cooper's. David F. Rooney photo

Cooper's Manager Joe Mele is always a straight shooter, even when he's dressed to kill as Al Capone. David F. Rooney photo

Jennie Congdon went for the punk look at The Bargain Store this Halloween. David F. Rooney photo

Meanwhile, over at the BC Liquor Store, Beryl Buckley (right) enjoyed her last day of work after 31 years of service with a pair of wings and the company of fellow Booze Fairy Angela Thompson and that sly devil Jeffrey Howe. David F. Rooney photo

The staff at the Regent Pub are always game for Halloween as the witchy Tracy Kessler joined Cat Girl Julie Hancock and that not-so-innocent nun Kirby Edwards. David F. Rooney photo

And finally, Last Drop Manager John Price looks a little the worse for wear. Fortunately, umpire Anna Hicks looks positively perky. David F. Rooney photo
