Out of the Office for Awhile

It is my regretful duty at this point to notify all of The Current’s faithful that editor David Rooney has recently suffered a stroke and will be unable to continue his work with the Current for the next week or so. Fear not, for David is strong and he is now resting comfortably in the Kamploops hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. I have been informed by his partner Sue that he is hoping to be back on his computer later in the week and that members of the community can, and should, still email him their stories and he will do his best to get them posted as his condition improves.
For now I would like to wish David and his wonderful partner Sue warm thoughts and my wishes for a speedy and full recovery. Godspeed David.

Sorry to hear about your stroke and hospitalization. Hope you are home soon and on your way to a complete recovery. Sending you only good thoughts and good wishes!
Thinking of you David, rest up and looking forward to seeing you when you are healthy

Hey David, Nel and I just wanted to make sure that we are thinking of you and sending amazingly positive energy for a super fast recovery. You are sooooo missed by Revelstoke and all your fans of the Current! but then again we can sure tell with all the warm wishes shared here for you. So settle back and relax for this time and well …. if the bed pan is cold, consider this a holiday on ice
Love ya and miss ya, hurry back buddy!
David: We sure missed you at our celebratio and hope you’re back in circulation soon. My bro says to keep your paws off those cute nurses. We appreciated your thinking of our ceremony even though you are laid up and we want you to know how well your assistant, Laura, did with the coverage. The weather was perfect and the ceremony and 12 Mile potluck was great. All our best. Ada and Bill Jarvis
OMG . . . David, we are in shock . . . and sending you all the positive energy we have, and that you need, for a complete and speedy recovery!!! We look forward to seeing your smiling face again soon! Think positive, Patti and Mas.

So sorry to hear this David, our prayers for a full recovery will be with you!
David;
I honestly know that your strength & determination will bring you back to what you do best and pave the road to recovery. Your strength and wisdon will not only guide you but make things better. I always look forward to reading about what is happening in Revelstoke and seeing your version. You don’t beat around the bush and it’s something that is appreciated by many. Take care of yourself and I’m sure you will be back at 120%. Besides, you still have to create more paintings!!!!!!!!!!
Thinking of you & wishing you all the best.
Rita
