BC Premier Christy Clark will be in Revelstoke next week to meet party members and to hold “a Women’s Town Hall Meeting” at the Golf Course’s Eatery on the Green starting at 7:45 am on July 31.

People who wish to attend the breakfast meeting — and this is a women-only event — have until 3 pm on Friday, July 27, to RSVP by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 250-837-5345. The buffet-style breakfast will cost $17.

Although the Chamber of Commerce is helping organize the event it is not restricted to women members of the Chamber.

“She’s doing this all across the province — reaching out to women in business,” Chamber Executive Director Judy Goodman said.

Clark is on a political trip to Columbia River-Revelstoke. She will arrive here on July 30 and will depart for Golden after the  morning meeting. There, she will attend the formal nomination meeting of Doug Clovechok before driving to Invermere for dinner with Clovechok and party members. For the past several months Clovechok has been visiting various communities in the riding, including Revelstoke where he attended the Rod & Gun Club’s annual dinner in February.

Peter Bernacki, said that while details are, for now, a bit sketchy Clovechok will meet Clark here  and will drive with her to Golden.

Saying you want more money for it isn’t the same thing as saying you are against it.

I think she has finally said Liberals don’t want it..hope its not just lip service..they know the election next year will see some rear end kicking..and this royalty talk has Premier of Alberta jumpy..but we all try to understand politicians..the federal Government will push through..they are making sure sure of that..we just have to get louder together..no matter what your political party is..
